*The Historic October Miracle*

October is the tenth month of the Julian and Gregorian Calendars and the sixth of seven months to have a length of 31 days.

October is commonly associated with the season of autumn in the Northern sphere and spring in the Southern Hemisphere.

25 October therefore becomes the 298th day of the year ( 299th in leap year) in the Gregorian.

25 OCTOBER has shown to be a day of history making events. In Romania 25 October means Armed Forces Day. In Lithuania 25 October means Constitution Day. In Slovenia the 25th of October means Sovereignty Day.

In Zimbabwe the 25th of October entails the Anti-Sanction Campaign which assumed a regional character with the Southern African Development Community standing with Zimbabwe against the Blanket Economic Sanctions which are corrosive to Zimbabwe development prospects.

It is that spurious association between imposition of sanctions and alleged human rights violations in Zimbabwe that misinforms the incessant existence of sanctions.

Diplomatically sane USA should consider Zimbabwe's Re-engagement Platform which envisions mutual benefits within the global village.
